Using Electronic Medical Records, our practice can quickly and accurately record and access patient information to take the best care of your mouth. EMRs reduce the use of paper and are used in compliance with secure HIPAA privacy standards.
All forms required to be a patient at our practice, both initial and periodic update forms, are available to be completed online. This means your records can be updated from the comfort of your home, at a mobile kiosk, or even your own device at our office.
Quick, easy, and comfortable, these small cameras let us show you what we see happening in your mouth. We use this technology to aid with documentation, but what we really love is using it to educate you. As a patient, this allows you to have a deeper understanding of your diagnosis, which leads to being in a position to make treatment decisions that align with your goals.
Whenever possible, Dr Haley utilizes rubber dam isolation for restorative procedures.
They have a number of benefits, including:
- Safer Procedures.
- Vastly reduced risk of swallowing or inhaling any debris created during treatment, including mercury-containing old metal fillings
- Protection of the surrounding structures like the gums, lips, tongue, and cheeks.
- More Effective Procedures.
- More light and visibility are available to the care team, meaning we can work more carefully and effectively.
- Contamination-free workspace — Saliva, blood, and even moisture from a patient’s breath can interfere with the longevity, durability, and effectiveness of modern dental adhesives. This type of isolation gives the best protection against all of these contamination sources.
- Patient Comfort.
- Knowing you are well-protected and that we are able to do our best work will allow you to relax more during your appointment.
Full HD intra- and extra-oral photography. This is an incredible tool that is used for treatment planning and review of diagnosis, before, during and after treatment photos, and can greatly aid in the patients understanding of their conditions and treatment.
As cool as old-school film development is as an art, digital radiographs are faster, lower radiation, and contain better information. Digital X-rays have been the standard of care for many years now.
Clear screens can be viewed comfortably from our treatment chairs. These are used to review X-rays and photographs with you.
CAD/CAM dentistry offers the ability to design and manufacture restorations in our office. Using CEREC Primescan technology increases the efficiency and accuracy of planning and creating dental restorations such as crowns. Read more about this technology and how these visits are structured.
When it comes to your teeth, details matter. We care deeply about our work and the people it serves. This is why from your cleaning to any kind of tooth repair, light and magnification are used. In general, hygienists utilize 2.5x magnification. Dr Haley utilizes 4x magnification loupes or a microscope with variable magnification for restorative procedures.
Air abrasion has a variety of benefits, including the removal of stubborn stains, conservative removal of unhealthy tooth structure, identification of and careful reduction/removal of cracks, or cleaning up a tooth surface for ideal sealing and bonding.
Dental Operating Microscopes allow for the best-in-class visualization of the areas being worked on, as they provide the best lighting and variable magnification, allowing the dentist to see both a wide field and very fine detail. With this equipment, we can deliver the best in diagnostics and treatments. Presently, Dr Haley is utilizing a Zeiss Extaro 300.
The newest iteration in handpiece technology, this is a departure from the high pitch wine of old air-driven handpieces. Not only do they provide a more tolerable auditory experience (for patient and provider alike!), they are more efficient and precise.
